1:00 PM - Large, windy peaks walling up on the inside at Playa Norte... It's chest to head high + and semi choppy to choppy with strong SSE winds. Although it's windy, cold, & bumpy, this afternoon gets a rating of 6 for having some beefy drops with some down the beach walls. Stay tuned...
7:45 AM - The surf has picked up this morning... It's waist to chest high + and semi choppy with moderate SSE winds and a strong drift from the south. The wind forecast is to clock around more from the SSW later today with strong storms coming through around mid day. This morning gets a 5 at this point in the day. Depending on what the storm and wind does it may get pretty good later today. Stay Tuned...

Aaron Frosio grew up in Neptune Beach, FL. surfing the same east coast
waves you have been surfing all your life. He came up through the amateur
ranks of the ESA and NSSA and received many titles along the way. This
paved the way for a professional career on the WQS where he was ranked
among the top 60 surfers in the world. He traveled the world for 7 years
and surfed many different waves. The ones he fell in love with are in
Costa Rica. Aaron has 16 years of surfing experience in Costa Rica. His
knowledge of this area will put you on the right break at the right time.

ISLAND PIZZA is a truly unique restaurant
catering to Jacksonville and the beaches community. The concept of combining
a restaurant and a surf museum was conceived by owner Mike Ferrara. He
is a local surfer with extensive restaurant experience. The surfing heritage
of Jacksonville's beaches is greater than most people are familiar with
and Ferrara has taken this idea to the next level. Long time friend Mitch
Kaufmann was able to collect photos, surfboards, and other surf memorabilia
