Hurricane’s Matthew & Irma

[Throwback 2016 – 2017]

Captured by our Jacksonville Beach Pier Cam

It’s been 4 years since Hurricane Matthew took 350′ of the Jacksonville Beach Pier and as of October 2020, it still hasn’t been rebuilt. Each year the Atlantic Storm Season, which begins on June 1st, produces Tropical Storms and Hurricanes. Between late August and October the Season peaks and Florida, the Gulf States, and the entire Eastern Seaboard pays attention. Here in Northeast Florida we’ve had our share of these Storms and our Jacksonville Beach Pier Cam has recorded the devastation. Please see our YouTube Videos capturing Hurricane Matthew, (2016) and Hurricane Irma, (2017) as they relentlessly pound the Jacksonville Beach Pier until it is destroyed.
