I trekked into Hanna Park late this morning, having parked at 18th Street In Atlantic Beach with a couple other curious beach goers. I passed 2 people during my hike, a woman walking out of the park nervously asked me if the tide was backing out yet, and I confirmed, watching relief soften her face. Another man was coming in the park, getting his run in for the day as I was leaving. The winds were pretty typical for a strong Noreaster, but it was a little unnerving seeing Dolphin Plaza sporting it’s hurricane shutters. Let’s hope the dunes we’ve managed to grow since Matthew are able to stick around for a while. – Julz
