Public Safety And Common Surfing Knowledge
We are coming into peak Hurricane Season, a time when we get bigger, powerful waves. It’s a time that the line-up goes from crowded to extremely crowded and it is dangerous. It’s important for surfers to exercise caution in crowded conditions. For beginners, choosing an uncrowded spot will give you the space to make the process of learning to surf a lot more stress-free. That way, as your wave riding skills become more refined, you’ll be able to step up to the more popular, over-crowded breaks which makes it safer for everyone.

NOTE: Due to the approaching Hurricane Idalia, Hanna & Huguenot Parks Are Closed Until Further Notice.
Happy Tuesday, Friends! Our second report shows semi-clean, chest to head high range surf, with light SSE winds. At report time, we’re getting large swells from Hurricane Franklin and it’s getting better with the dropping tide. It’s NOT a day for beginners or lessons. Use caution if you are going for it and check back for our next update tomorrow morning at Sunrise!
